At three weeks of age, the puppies are now walking quite steadily, and eating small amounts of raw foods including tripe, lamb and Nature's Variety rabbit. Star weighed in at 49 ounces and Stripe at 53! Stripe eats way more raw food then Star, so has more then caught up! They are quite vocal and starting to play with each other.

Here is Rescue, the "nanny" who has nurtured Windy and Breeze from the time they arrived here, and who obviously knows what puppies are all about. I suspect she'd had pups herself at one time, as she was intact when taken into the shelter 7 years ago, and she adores little ones. It has been a dream of mine for Rescue to nanny our "very own" litter from Day One and forward. As you see, Breeze willingly allows Rescue to visit with Star and Stripe, something she would absolutely not tolerate from Windy or Jingle. I am so fortunate that Rescue is here with us to help raise this little family until they go to their new homes.

Caryn was admiring the beddie and pups and said "I wish I could just curl up in there with you all." I said "Knowing you, you could probably fit in there." Well, sure enough, like a Toller contortionist, she wriggled herself in and became a littermate!.
